The Quorn Clinical Skills Weekend offers an exciting opportunity for medical students to experience the benefits of a career in rural medicine including opportunities to practise procedural medicine, the value of community support and a fantastic lifestyle.
The program includes clinical skills sessions and opportunities to explore the Southern Flinders Ranges. In collaboration with the Flinders and Far North Division of General Practice and local GPs - Dr Tony Lian-Lloyd and Dr Steve Holmes - this weekend provides opportunities to network with other medical students and rural medical professionals.
This event is open to medical students who are members of AURHA or FURHS.
The cost of the event is $50.00. The rest is subsidised by the RDWA. Cost covers travel, shared accommodation for two nights, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast and lunch. Payment will not be required until students are advised that they have secured a place.
