Graduate Entry
Flinders University of South Australia offers a four-year graduate entry medical program.
To apply for graduate entry, applicants need to complete a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and sit the Graduate Australian Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT), which is conducted by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER).
The RDWA offers support for graduates who have lived in rural South Australia to prepare for the GAMSAT. We can provide small grants to assist you to prepare for the GAMSAT or undertake bridging courses. You can apply for an RDWA GAMSAT grant from October to the end of January.
Applicants intending to apply for the Flinders graduate medical program, need to register to sit the GAMSAT between October and January, and will sit the test in March. Results will be known by late May, in time for applicants to apply for medical school by early June. Shortlisted applicants are advised of their interview in August, and interviews are conducted in September and October. Offers are sent to successful applicants between November and January.
And if you want to talk to someone to help you work out if graduate entry is for you, call or email our student services officers.
