High School Students
There are a few stages and quite a few years to become a fully qualified doctor. Sometimes rural kids think that getting there will be too hard. We run lots of things to help and will be there with you every step.
The RDWA’s high school student program is part of the RDWA’s medSPACE Ready, Set, Go.
medSPACE Ready is the RDWA’s residential workshop for rural high school students in year 10 and 11. It shows rural kids that studying medicine is within their reach.
medSPACE Set is the professional UMAT (Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admission Test) preparation program. Places are limited and demand is high, so sometimes we can't offer places to all applicants.
Once you are there, there are scholarships and other financial support from the universities and government available.
So when you are ready and set to go into the world of medicine, the RDWA's student services staff are here to help.
