International Graduates
Overseas trained doctors are embraced here. RDWA provides superior support and guidance to our International Graduates, starting with pre-employment visits, assistance with relocation, funded orientation, family orientation, skills assessments, up-skilling placements and funded support to gain Fellowship.
You will not be a number here, you will not get lost in the system. You will be a valued part of our team.
We will care for you and your family. RDWA has established a program GP EduCARE that provides structured learning and the opportunity to take a bit of time out to evaluate how things are going. Like all our programs we provide access to a range of highly skilled providers to assist doctors and their families through their settlement, training and personal support needs.
Two programs for International Graduates offer wonderful opportunities. They are:
The Five Year Program which supports doctors who work in eligible towns to reduce the time it takes to access full Medicare benefits.
The RLRP which allows IMGs who are Permanent Residents but who have not achieved Fellowship to work in rural practice.
