The Practice
Bridge Clinic is a modern and dynamic 18 doctor rural general practice with full time and part time, procedural and non-procedural GPs. The partners are a vibrant group of doctors with extensive experience in rural general practice. Bridge Clinic was proudly recognised as the RACGP National General Practice of the Year in 2005 for excellence in providing general practice services to the community and is GPA+ accredited.
The Murray Bridge Soldiers Memorial Hospital is a 36 bed fully equipped local hospital. Bridge Clinic doctors share the on call roster at the hospital which allows for manageable participation in the emergency care of patients while still allowing considerable time off on week nights and weekends.
We have approximately 30 visiting specialists, many of whom undertake operating elective lists at the Hospital, with surgical assistance and anaesthetic support provided by our general practice team. There is an extensive range of allied health services provided by both local service providers and the Murray Mallee Community Health Service.
Our doctors enjoy flexible working conditions, including paid annual leave and long service leave allocations, flexible rostering, allowance for time off as a ½ day per week or a day per fortnight and consideration for education and workshop attendance.
All doctors are encouraged to pursue, develop and maintain their special interests. Current areas of service include anaesthetics, emergency medicine, geriatrics, aboriginal health, obstetrics, gynaecology, surgery, paediatrics, cardiology, psychiatry, prison medicine, sports medicine, women's health, adolescent health, acupuncture and teaching.
The practice is an accredited teaching practice with the University of Adelaide, Flinders University, RACGP and ACRRM. We host and support Registrars, Interns, Post Graduates and Medical Students. In conjunction with the hospital we have recently been accredited for Advanced Diploma of Obstetrics Training by the RANZCOG.
