RDWA’s Transition to Practice (T2P) Program targets rural doctors to successfully transition into medical practice ownership arrangements.

T2P Program provides participants with knowledge of the fundamental business aspects of medical practice ownership and the personal skills and confidence to become job ready to transition into business ownership.

Who should participate

T2P is for those doctors considering becoming a new medical practice business owner or those existing medical practice owners considering enhancing ownership arrangements in place.

Australian trained doctors, International Medical Graduates (IMGs) and GP Registrars are all encouraged to participate and will benefit greatly from the program.

Practice managers are a great support and may be asked to involve themselves, together with a doctor or doctors from their practice in the latter stages of the program.

Benefits to participants

  •  strengthened knowledge, skills and confidence of the fundamental aspects of medical practice ownership
  •  learning opportunity with specific relevance to the rural medical practice environment
  •  determining personal readiness for business ownership
  •  implementing new or enhanced medical practice ownership arrangements
  •  professional and personalised support provided in a safe and confidential environment
  •  collegiate networking
  •  time to focus on ‘you’

This workshop is accredited through RACGP and ACRRM for professional development points.
