Leadership Development Weekend

Increasingly students who are members of their University Rural Club are being called upon to represent a student’s perspective on a range of issues that impact on the recruitment and retention of health professionals in rural areas of Australia.

To support executive members in their roles and to increase their knowledge in preparation for future health careers, this biennial weekend workshop aims to enhance the skills they already have and further develop their understanding in the following areas:

•    Handling the media
•    Negotiating with influential people
•    Contributing meaningfully to meetings
•    Aspects of being a good representative, including relaying important information, report writing and the importance of “actions”

Available to Executive Members of AURHA and FURHS
