South Australian General Practice Refresher Course (Emergency Update for GPs)
What is it?
This program has been developed collaboratively between RDWA and LearnEM to provide a general emergency course for rural GPs. Topics include updates in cardiology, neurology, paediatric trauma, paediatric emergencies, envenomation, mental health emergencies, paediatric rash and respiratory emergencies.
A range of workshops will be available including obstetric emergencies, minor trauma / procedural sedation and advanced life support.
Event provider
SAPMEA and LearnEM Coordinators for the program are Dr Jason Bament and Dr Peter Stuart, two clinicians with extensive clinical experience and a combined teaching experience of over 30 years including the (Lyell McEwin / Modbury Hospitals) Emergency Care Course, the RESP Rural Emergency Skills Program, the Emergency Medicine textbook “ABCDs of Emergency Medicine” and the Emergency Skills website www.learnem.com.au
