This workshop aims to provide an overview of the GAMSAT and what may be in the test. This workshop is not designed to teach the required knowledge, but allows participants to identify their strengths and weaknesses.
What is it?
The workshop will include the following:
An overview of the GAMSAT and its 3 sections
o Section I: Humanities and Social Sciences
o Section II: Written Communication
o Section III: Biological and Physical Sciences
Tips on how to approach multiple choice questions
Time management strategies
A chance to sit a simulated GAMSAT, under test-like conditions, with review/answers after the test
Overview of the application process into Flinders University
* Please be aware that we are unable to provide participants with copies of the test materials used or extra study material. This workshop does not teach the assumed knowledge that may be required by the GAMSAT.
Who can attend?
This workshop is open to Australian citizens and permanent residents in SA who are of rural origin and to those from NT who have registered to sit the GAMSAT in March 2010. Applicants from non-rural and international rural backgrounds are welcome to apply, but places are limited. Applicants are required to be Australian citizens or permanent residents.
