The Psych Therapies Mental Health Clinician will play a pivotal role in delivering focused psychological interventions and strategies to clients with varied complex mental health concerns. Working with a multi-disciplinary team, the role will deliver services within a collaborative model of care.

The practice offers you a choice of location in either Port Lincoln, Clare or Kadina, and flexibility with part time and full time options. You will work with a caring and supportive team, have access to professional development opportunities via formal and informal training, and receive monthly supervision from experienced clinicians.

Criteria and experience

  • Qualifications in any of the following:
    • Social Worker
    • Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist, Occupational Therapist
    • Registered Nurse with a postgraduate qualification in Mental Health
  • Minimum two years post-graduate experience working within a primary/community mental health setting (or part time equivalent, or work experience references for graduates)
  • Evidenced-based focused psychological strategy interventions including the understanding of current theoretical concepts within mental health sciences and their application to mental health issues and problems
  • Current valid South Australian drivers licence
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current rights to work in Australia

Package

The practice offers flexible arrangements, competitive salary plus salary packaging, and 5 weeks annual leave plus paid cultural leave.

You may also be eligible for the Rural Relocation Grant available through RDWA.

Port Lincoln, a large regional city on the Eyre Peninsula, has thriving agriculture and aquaculture industries. Kadina, the largest town on the Yorke Peninsula, serves as the area's main commercial hub and is known as an agricultural area. Meanwhile, Clare lies in the heart of the Clare Valley, a region famous for its wine industry and agriculture.
