Waikerie Medical Centre is a well-established general practice in the Riverland. The practice supports GPs, GP Registrars, GP Interns as part of the RDWA R2R GP Intern program, participate in the Rural Academy Clinical Excellence (RACE Program) and host Trainee Medical Officers (TMO’s) as well as Flinders University medical students and offer a wide variety of scope for nurses working in rural General Practice. The Assistant Nurse Manager will coordinate with the Nurse Manager to perform a range of nursing and administration functions which will ensure the delivery of quality patient services. This will include recruitment, development, and retention of nursing staff and the development, implementation and monitoring of health policies and plans. Other duties include overseeing daily operations of nursing activities, ensuring high standards of patient care, and fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Criteria and experience
PackageThe practice offers a permanent part-time position with remuneration paid as per Nurses Award 2020, commensurate with experience. Full induction and training, including support for necessary upskilling, is provided, along with a uniform. Eligible applicants can apply for an RDWA primary health care recruitment incentive. LocationWaikerie is located on the south bank of the Murray River in South Australia’s Riverland region. It is known for its fruit-growing agricultural industry and is a popular tourist destination.
