RDWA’s R2R Medicine Clinical Skills Experiences are valuable, immersive and contemporary experiences for medicine students in their final year of university.
Working alongside experienced Rural Generalists (RGs) in a clinical environment, students will participate in a hands-on clinical training experience that includes simulated and clinical skills stations in a rural setting and the local hospital.
RDWA is offering two clinical skills experiences in 2025 held on different weekends in March:
Leading the experiences are experienced RGs and their teams who specialise in either Obstetrics or Anaesthetics.
As part of the experience, students will gain an understanding of the role, lifestyle and benefits of becoming an RG and get to explore the rural surrounds and engage with the local community through social events.
RDWA provides return bus transport, meals and accommodation.

There are 12 places available for students from each university in each clinical skills experience.

Location: Murray Bridge
Dates: Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 March, 2025

Location: Barossa Valley
Dates: Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March, 2025
Facilitator: Dr Lisa White, supported by the local team of RG Anaesthetists
