Rural GP Study Support Grant

The Rural GP Study Support Grant provides financial support to eligible doctors when taking time off from practising to study and prepare for exams and assessments required to complete a self-funded GP college Fellowship pathway. This grant is offered through RDWA’s Towards Fellowship Program.

This grant provides $500 per day, for a maximum of two days per exam semester, for doctors who do not have access to paid study leave.

The Rural GP Study Support Grant recognises the financial impact incurred by rural GPs who are on a pre-fellowship or fellowship pathway when they cannot practice.

Applications for Rural GP Study Support Grant are open until 17 December 2025.
