Resident Rural GP / RG Travel Subsidy

RDWA’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Resident Rural GP / RG Travel Subsidy provides funding for personal costs associated with travelling to accredited CPD.

The Subsidy is a rural GP/RG workforce retention strategy funded by the Regional Local Health Networks.

Is this for me?

You can apply for a subsidy if you live in rural SA and you are working in rural private general practice in SA.  This subsidy is not for GPs employed solely in regional public hospitals.

If you are an AGPT Registrar living and working in rural SA, you can apply for a subsidy to attend RDWA funded CPD including RESP, medical professional development events and the annual RDWA GP/RG conference.  Other travel is not eligible.

Private Medical Specialists should refer to the Private Specialists CPD Subsidy.
