Incentives for dentists to establish themselves in rural and remote communities are now available through the federally funded Dental Relocation and Infrastructure Support Scheme (DRISS).
The scheme offers relocation assistance up to $120,000 and infrastructure support grants up to $250,000 to help with the purchasing of equipment and fit out of dental facilities.
DRISS is administered by Rural Health Workforce Australia (RHWA). For grant information, visit the DRISS program page.
The final DRISS funding round for the 2015-16 financial year is now closed.
The RDWA provides support to rural South Australia’s dentists who receive DRISS funding.
