Goyder’s Line Medical provides general practitioner services and rostered on-call emergency support to hospitals in a large and friendly agricultural community. Goyder’s Line Medical consists of three medical centres in Jamestown, Peterborough and Orroroo and works in conjunction with the hospitals in those townships.

The practices are supported by a team of practice nurses, administrative staff, and visiting specialist and allied health services. Goyder’s Line Medical is an accredited training practice offering the opportunity to supervise registrars and medical students. 

The hospital is supported by SAVES (South Australian Virtual Emergency Service) for after-hours accident and emergency presentations.

Work hours:

• Practices: Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm
• Hospitals: Rostered, on-call afterhours medical emergency service

Hospital service provision is not compulsory.

Qualifications considered / Experience

• Vocationally Registered
• General Registration with Australian GP experience
• MBBS or equivalent
• Recent emergency experience, or prepared to upskill
• Ability to gain credentials as a General Practitioner - GP Emergency Medicine

Desirable

• Postgraduate qualification relevant to general practice (e.g. Diploma of Child Health, Diploma in Obstetrics)
