The Role

Providing full or part time GP services to Goolwa Medical Centre, this is your opportunity to practise a wide range of medicine unique to rural practice.  Adding diversity to your work day, you will also have the opportunity to supervise medical students and registrars in this accredited teaching practice.

With the option to work between 6 and 10 sessions per week across a flexible 4 day roster, this role can be varied to suit all your requirements. Practice consulting hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 6pm and Saturdays 9am – 12pm. There is no requirement for after hours or on call services.

Essential Criteria

• Vocationally Registered
• MBBS or equivalent
• Able to obtain credentials as a General Practitioner in the clinical domain of GP Medicine

A postgraduate qualification relevant to general practice (e.g. Diploma of Child Health, Diploma in Obstetrics) is desirable, but not essential.

Working alongside the supportive and experienced team of local GPs and practice staff, you will enjoy the well equipped facilities and access to onsite and visiting specialist and allied health services, including:

Goolwa and nearby towns are home to a full complement of specialist and Allied Health Services.

South Coast District Hospital, a 50 bed facility providing medical and surgical services, is located in Victor Harbor 15 minutes from the practice.
