A full or part time GP Obstetrician position is now open in Kingscote, working alongside an experienced team of resident VR GPs serving the local fishing, farming and surfing community on the pristine Kangaroo Island.

The Role

This flexible GP Obstetric position provides GP and Obstetric services to both KI Medical Clinic and the Kangaroo Island Health Service.

In addition to general practice and emergency medicine, KI Medical Clinic is an accredited teaching practice where you will have the opportunity to supervise medical students and registrars.

Standard work hours include a minimum of 6 sessions per week during consulting hours, Monday to Friday, 8.45am – 4.45pm. Consulting hours are flexible and can be negotiated with the practice.

As a member of an experienced team, this position also shares emergency and obstetrics on-call medical services to the Kangaroo Island Health Service after hours. The emergency on-call shared roster is generally 1 weekday per week and 1 in every 6 weekends.

Essential Criteria

• Vocationally Registered
• DRANZCOG Advanced
• MBBS or equivalent
• Experience in Obstetrics
• Experience in Emergency medicine
• Ability to gain credentials as a General Practitioner in the clinical domain of GP Obstetrics (Complicated)
