This full time VR or non-VR GP position in the bustling township of Nuriootpa, a tourism hub nestled in the heart of the Barossa Valley, promises an exciting change with plenty of variety. A Distribution Priority Area only 50 minutes from Adelaide, you will be supported by a large and experienced team and could be working towards fellowship in a town with an excellent local food and arts scene surrounded by picture perfect vineyards and farmland.

Joining the experienced team of local GPs at Nuriootpa Medical Centre, you will be supported by a full range of visiting specialists and experienced practice staff. With the ability to practice the full scope of rural medicine, this role offers fantastic work life balance with no after hours or on call services.
As an accredited teaching practice, diversity can be added to the role for suitably qualified GPs by supervising registrars and medical students.
Standard work hours include up to 10 sessions per week. Consulting hours are between Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:30pm and rostered once per week are evening clinics Monday to Thursday, 11:30am – 7:30pm. Saturday mornings between 9am – 11:30am are on a rostered basis of 1 week in 8.
No after hours or on call medical services are required in this role. Suitably qualified candidates can choose to participate in the emergency on call roster to the Tanunda War Memorial Hospital, which is on a shared roster of 2-3 days per month.
A postgraduate qualification relevant to general practice (e.g. Diploma of Child Health, Diploma in Obstetrics) is desirable, but not essential.
