A full time GP Obstetrician role is now available to join the experienced team of VR GPs at Boston Bay Family Health Practice in the picture perfect coastal city of Port Lincoln. Only a short 50 minute flight to Adelaide you will love working with this team of experienced rural VR GPs, with the opportunity to practice a wide scope of rural medicine and a world renowned stretch of coast at your doorstep.

Port Lincoln is a Distribution Priority Area and a location that is included in the Five-Year OTD Scheme.

The Role

Providing GP and Obstetric services to Boston Bay Family Health Practice and Port Lincoln Hospital, you will be supported by a full range of visiting specialists and experienced practice staff committed to servicing the large farming and fishing community in and around this iconic rural city.

Working alongside a large and experienced local team, this diverse role in a busy practice offers the variety in practice unavailable in metro areas.

Standard work hours include up to 10 sessions per week during consulting hours, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm. As a member of this experienced team, you will be providing on call obstetric services and after hours and emergency on-call medical services to the Port Lincoln Hospital as part of a shared roster.

As an accredited teaching practice, you will have the opportunity to supervise registrars, interns and medical students.

Essential Criteria

• Vocationally Registered
• DRANZCOG Advanced
• MBBS or equivalent
• Experience in Obstetrics
• Experience in Emergency medicine
• Ability to gain credentials as a General Practitioner in the clinical domain of GP Obstetrics
