If you're a student at a rural high school and thinking of becoming a doctor, RDWA’s medSPACE Residential Workshop can help you pursue your dream.
The medSPACE Residential Workshop is a three-day program held in Adelaide each year for up to 50 rural high school students in Years 10 and 11 from across South Australia.
The workshop gives you an opportunity to experience what it will be like to study medicine at university, spending time at both Flinders University and the University of Adelaide, learning about their medicine courses and taking part in practical clinical sessions. You will also be introduced to the pathways to study medicine at university and the admissions processes including the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT).
Participants are provided with a fully funded program including travel, meals and accommodation, with supervision provided by RDWA staff and current medical students.
Applications to attend the medSPACE Residential Workshop for 2019 are closed. If you’d like to be kept up to date about the next opportunity for the medSPACE experience, please let us know and we’ll stay in touch.
If you have any questions about any aspect of a medical career, please call or email us.
