Non-VR Doctor Support Program

RDWA provides extensive support for South Australia’s rural non-VR doctors and GP Registrars.

The Non-VR Doctor Support Program includes peer learning and development, access to education workshops and support for developing and completing Fellowship learning plans.

RDWA arranges an initial conversation with one of AOGP’s experienced medical educators who will provide specific guidance on the program elements that will best meet your needs.

Funded activities can include:

  • Medical educator 1:1 visits
  • Development of a learning plan
  • Consultation and communication workshops
  • Clinical education workshops
  • Fortnightly webinars with peers led by experienced GP educators
  • CPD Travel Subsidy for eligible events.

Eligibility

You can talk to us about the Non-VR Doctor Support Program if you are:

  • A non-VR doctor working in general practice
  • Working in a rural South Australian location (MM2-7)
  • Enrolled in a Fellowship Program with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM); or
  • Intending to apply for a Fellowship program when eligible.

You can join the program at any point of your Fellowship training.

AGPT Registrars can discuss with RDWA whether the Non-VR Doctor Support Program would complement their training program.

Check if you work in an eligible location.
