The Pre-Fellowship Program (PFP) offers non-VR doctors invaluable experience in general practice to prepare them to apply for a Fellowship training pathway in rural South Australia. The PFP has replaced the More Doctors for Rural Australia Program.
Eligible doctors work in practices in MM2-7 locations, as well as MM1 locations with Distribution Priority Area (DPA) classification.
The program aims to:
RDWA administers the program in South Australia.
You can apply for PFP if you are an International medical graduate (IMG) or non-vocationally registered doctor who has general, provisional or limited registration and an employment offer for a practice in an eligible location. The practice must be accredited against the RACGP Standards and an accredited training practice (or working toward training accreditation).
You cannot apply if you have been on a 3GA program (including MDRAP).
