Alongside RDWA’s RESP, and facilitated by long-time training partner Learn EM, the new RESP Obstetrics offers funded emergency education to GP Proceduralists offering Obstetric services to any of the six Regional Local Health Networks in SA.
RESP Obstetrics will focus on management of obstetric emergencies, newborn resuscitation, neonatal emergencies, extended skills in using bedside ultrasound and simulation to consolidate skills for management of obstetric and neonatal emergencies.
At the completion of the workshop the participant should be able to:
RESP Obstetrics is accredited for 40 Cat 1 RACGP points and 30 PRPD + 30 points MOPS with ACCRM. The workshop meets the criteria for the Rural Procedural Grant for Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, Surgery and Obstetrics.
If you are offered and accept a fully funded position, you will be agreeing to meet the conditions of access which includes agreeing to pay for the cost of a position, if you do not complete all requirements.
