University Open Day Financial Support

About the Financial Support

Rural high school students don’t have to miss exploring medicine and health career information at this year’s University Open days because costs are too high for you to travel.

We are offering financial support to SA’s rural high school students dreaming of medicine or health degrees so that travel costs are not a barrier.

Depending on how far you need to travel, we can offer up to $500 to help cover travel costs to Adelaide. Are you keen to start exploring life as a Uni Student?

You can apply for financial support through the University Open Day Grant if you live in rural SA and are in year 10,11, or 12 at a rural high school and you plan on applying for medicine or a health discipline.

You can check if your rural location is eligible by putting your address in this calculator.  You need to be in an MMM 2-7 location.

Important information

We’ve put all the relevant information in the Guidelines.

A Health Degree can be any degree in medicine, nursing or allied health.
